Thanks for putting these most interesting questions, Karyn! Reminds of a book I am just reading from Michael Talbot, "The holographic universe". Talbot is outlining a stunning concept that our consciousness and memory is not physical but constructed like a hologram. This means that our thoughts and recalls are interference patterns of vibrations in our brain. Thus the brain is the piece of volume this phenomenon takes place but it is not the storage, just a means to access this information. For me this book is mind boggling and gives answers to lots of questions. The holographic universe by Michael Talbot

Ron, you must have done a tremendous amount of work to scan the archived material. What were the earliest evident of EVP you have found?

I see your point. Thus a microphone is something that works as an antenna for spirit energy but its intended use is bypassed under EvP conditions. I also had my best results with electret microphones. Maybe they are more susceptible to the (probably) electrical outcomes of spirit voice manifestations compared to microphone types that are utilizing different physical concepts for transforming sound into electricity. This should be easy to prove if we would take a electret mic capsule and seal it against sound completely like drowning it in epoxy resin or something similar. A low hanging fruit I'd like to pick. From what you said it at least appears reasonable to think that background noise increases the probability of spirit voices, likely due to energy transfer. From this point of view it could be very promising to test energy sources that don't interfere with the voice signal like ultrasonic waves. I guess this is more or less what Hans Otto Koenig did. The most fascinating thing is that spirits seem to reconfigure any kind of noise no matter if the process is acoustically, electrically or magnetically(?) based. In our world "Noise" is not an object for itself, it is a temporal representation of a signal that has a specific physical property (electric, magnetic, acoustical,..). But for the spirits "noise" seems to be an object, a base quality for itself and it's physical representation is not that important.

From Ron's answers I could conclude that EVP could be an acoustical phenomenon, however one cannot explain why then we cannot hear the ITC voives directly with our ears. Jeff's answer is indicating that it is not acoustical nor electrical in general. What I'd like to know is, if you believe that EVP is manifesting itself in our world by always the same physical phenomenon or can it be sometimes acoustical, if we use a microphone, and sometimes electrical fluctuations in radio static? My experience is that microphone voices are the clearest I ever got. They really sound like natural human speech with all characteristics involved. Voice gained from electric noise signals sounds different generally. Taking into account all my experiments with all kinds of electric noise sources I came to the conclusion the in terms of a model you could imagine a transfer function from the ethereal to our world that is highly non linear, resembling the characteristic of a diode because the distortion pattern is similar. Thus I ask myself why this is so that microphones produce rare but very good voices and other techniques more but much distorted ones. I obtained a cardbox and some cotton patches and will try to built in a microphone that practically is isolated acoustically from the environment. A small earbud will be in the box too to add some noise. By the way, did anyone of you guys got voices from nothing, I mean without acoustical background support? I got some but they are rare. We could conclude that there might be also different kind of energies the spirits may use apart from background noise.

I had some very good experiences with microphone voice I would like to discuss with the community. Due to my observations they do occur if there is slight noise in the background. However I also got very good messages when I recorded chatting people and a firework at new years eve. What was striking me is that the spirit voices adopt the characteristics of the sound you give them. I once got clicking voices as I was typing on my computer keyboard and more roaring voices from wind. Since the origin of this phenomenon still is unknown to me I, it could be a direct electrical impact of spirit energy on the microphone or a truly acoustical phenomenon. Has anyone ever tried to record spirit voices with two or three recorders simultaneously and checking if the voices are always the same at the same time? Have you ever took voices from an electrically shielded microphone? Have you ever used a sensitive microphone in a acoustically sealed box to check if voices can manifest inside this box?

Am amazing reflection about the entanglement of classical physics and paranormal research. In my experience there are three realms that overlap but reject to melt into something new and that is mainstream physics, paranormal research and spirituality. Now this article shows that there is a movement of physics towards the paranormal and finally of both of them towards spirituality. Feels good to be a part of that!

Yes, I like to acknowledge that statement. Even with classical mainstream science we already "know" that by hitting a door frame with your forehead it is not the matter that hurts you but the repelling forces of the atomic nuclei. Most of the atom is vast and empty space. Many years ago I read a book about quantum reality. It was addressing the problem that quantum mechanics can calculate practically everything in the subatomic realm but tells us nothing about why it is so. It's even not a model but a mathematical tool set. The book tried to derive different models for "reality" from quantum mechanics that all were 100% compatible with the results of QM. However the models were totally different, starting from "everything is matter" and ending at "everything is force fields" with about 8 different models that also could be mixed. My conclusion is that what we call reality is just a projection of a creative force beyond our imagination that constructs something for us we can cling to in our respective times of existence. In this terms reality is not objective, it's a product made for certain beings at certain times and has no value in itself.

Hi Jeff! A nice idea. We also had similar thoughts on LDR's at low light conditions. Maybe Hall sensors would react the same way if exposed to very low signals. Michael Lee hypothesized that those sensors under these conditions would turn over into emitting shot noise, which are trains of randomly grouped impulses basically. I really think that these impulses are a key to ITC in general. Wagner in Brazil just utilized electrical sparks from a Tesla coil to generate impulses. I did it with the rotating drum and earlier with a iron filings coherer agitated by a rotating magnet. I did it also with my neon lamp receiver, with needle impulses from a NE555 and much more. The key is always to generate random impulses that are not equally distributed. They must come in bursts or random groups and thus forming the basic structure of human voice patterns that can be filled with speech by the spirits. Moreover you can benefit from the fact that impulses can be made practically noise free and their hidden speech can be restored by simple means like reverb/echo and filtering.

Sadly not. The messages I get are roughly 90% german and 10% english averaged over all sessions and techniques. Thus when I'm doing more test I will get some messages in english and can post them here.

Since two weeks I am scrutinizing the effect of lose point contacts that are in move and thus creating a kind of sliding or scratching noise since I observed spirit voices manifesting in sequences several times when I turned a potentiometer shaft. I now tried to utilize this effect deliberately. Please see the video. Exactly!! This is what makes up the amplification of those small signals, however is also responsible for the distortion of the voice signal since it is a highly non linear process. However this is only a model for ITC voice manifestations on coherers. I don't know if this hypothesis is sustainable regarding all the other ITC effects.

My mind resonates with most of what you said. The very short lifetime of spiritons is a very critical issue in in my eyes. For every kind of detector we could imagine this limits the accessible volume of quantum vacuum down to a very low scale, that is the direct vicinity of the detector or in better words the volume on space the detector consumes. In my upcoming paper about the coherer effect in ITC I am directly reflecting the issues you listed. I am hypothesizing that spiritons kick of an effect called 'induced quantum tunneling'. It has been proven that photons can control, or lets say, 'gate' quantum tunneling by changing the probability distribution of the wavefunction of an electron. This is the first step in the chain. One reason why the coherer is so susceptible is the avalanche effect which does the rest. In the coherer we have lose or fragile point contacts. In quantum terms we have energy barriers preventing electrons from flowing. The coherer has a dc bias voltage across it's electrodes. If induced quantum tunneling is kicking an electron through the barrier it accelerates in the electrical dc field and thus gains kinetic energy. Thus it will hit the next energy barrier with more energy and likely will break through it. Between every breakthrough it gains more energy from the dc field and finally turns into a cannonball hitting the anode.

Then another voice said something like "Wir haben Glück " what means "We are lucky " Did any german Wehrmacht soldiers ever were imprisoned in this facility? I suspect these guys were happy to be taken out of battle in one piece.

Very impressive Paul. There is definitely a humming or singing voice to hear very clearly at the end because it is not overlayed by any other sounds. However I hear something different than you. In my ears it sounds more like "All is through" or "All is you"
