  6. Greetings Mr. Ramos, Yes, I recorded a live session with your audio file using infinity box. With your audio file what I did was opened the file in adobe audition. I took your file and Normalized different sections. I did have to snip out a tiny portion which accounts for the difference in the length of the audio file. I copied and pasted the file to create a stereo version.

  8. Greetings All, I'd like to thank Lance and Jeff for their most excellent instructions regarding the software Audacious and Argotlunar. I was very curious to experiment with the software, but with a slight difference. I decided to use a sound file instead of vocals. For my experiment I recorded an audio file from YouTube called, "The Singing, Ringing Tree". I process the audio with Argotlunar. Split the file with Wavepad, and uploaded the fragmented files to Audacious. Noting that I have been working with non vocal fragment sound files often over the the last several years, I feel the results using the aforementioned software was as rewarding and as effective as using the EVPMaker. My first test audio was a bit choppy sounding at times, but I believe Jeff mentioned applying crossfade which will hopefully help alleviate that problem. I'd like to share two EVPs from my test. One being from the beginning of the recording, which came through the strongest. And the last EVP at the end of the recording where the choppiness is more noticeable and some words start to become more ambiguous, as perhaps, the energy fades. I won't include what I hear here, but the link will show my interpretation at the top of the file.   9. I use an old version, I guess once they see the drop in figures for new ones and is not at the accepted levels they expect. Once they realise that we are all using older versions then they will move to remove them. Shame as it is a great program in my humble opinion.

  11. In the past 2 weeks I was experimenting with a circuit that utilizes race conditions on the R and S lines of a digital flipflop. My idea was that spirits could influence the runtime of clock signals and thus generate fluctuations in the dc component of the output signal. I had a nice noise signal and also fairly good voices. So far so good. While trying to improve the signal to noise ratio I accidentally ripped off the driving clock signal from the flipflop. To my utter amazement the voices still remained. Then I methodologically stripped off any electronic components until everything that was left was the final OpAmp stage that amplified the flipflop signal for the line output. Voices were still there! After some more investigations I finally found out that the noise was coming directly from the resistor network I used to bias the OpAmp. It was a simple 1:2 voltage divider made of two 2k2 resistors and by pure accident I took two very old carbon compound resistors. As I replaced them by metal film resistors the signal was gone. So my current circuit I am using now is this one. The signal it produces has much from the coherer setup but the voices sometimes are really good. The behavior of this circuit is varying. Sometimes I got almost clear voices and then later more spiky ones with good modulation but bad quality, some voices that are more the envelope function of speech and some voices are completely over limit! The difference compared to the coherer voices is that the signal to noise ratio is really outstanding and I could decode lots of them without post processing even though they are still hard to hear for an untrained ear. I was totally fuzzied that I suddenly get strong EVP signals from a simple biased OpAmp. Even with a polarized cap from the center of the voltage divider against ground I still got strong impulses (the envelope style voices). I never had this before and I built hundreds of amplifier stages like this, so this must be something new! From a session I did not archived I deciphered the following. The spirits picked up my idea of working with graphite/carbon and conducted experiments and researches to "meet me in the middle". They said it is my concept they are realizing and called me "professor". I don't know if this an academical grade in the hereafter but it certainly was motivating anyway. Then they said it works very good but I should give them more time to improve their technology. I talked to Michael Lee in our research group and he quickly replicated my circuit. It was almost similar to a design he made a year ago and called "whistler".   12. Another thing I wanted to try out was the sound of carbon particles immersed in oil. The oild adds better insulation of the carbon particles to the compound and I expected the sound to be more calm. So I prepared another glass vessel, drilled holes for thumbtack electrodes I glued in, filled it with graphite powder and added Ballistol oil, a high quality oil that is not gummying. In fact the sound was more steady an calm. With 40V DC bias at the cell I got a nice smooth noise signal with a soft overlay of spiky voices. One said "Look to the window". My desk is directly in front of the room window. Then I was told I now learned my lesson very well to trust my inner feelings, what is entirely true. I also received one message that said "It will be like faxing". Actually I am working on a software named "SpiritFax" since a while and maybe this message was addressing it. Another one told me I would become a "navigator" in november and the most stunning one was "Works good with the varnish". For a moment I was confused but then I realized they were addressing the oil! Yes when I am taping the Global group the one on Sat/Sun I have picked up orbs as well as other tapes. I have forgotten which ones now but yes evps as well. I also know my daughter also attends them as an extremely gifted medium was told over and over thats my mum,thats my mum, it was not organised to it was a blast to know.

Hi all, these last few day, I decided to go back and experiment with argotlunar (Many thanks to DR Jeff for researching this software and bringing it to us to experiment with) It's Granular synthesis software that musicians use for splitting the input audio into grains (Or Millie seconds) In our case I used a general speaking raw voice with the spaces deleted in-between words, so this give a constant string of speaking audio the length was 1min 5 secs in total. The software gives a garbled gibberish, non understandable to the ear, only on playback I found the gibberish had been re-organized into words, or responses to my questions, by spirit side. The first two EVP on the video are from the segments of 225Ms, but from then on, the Argotlunar software was used for the contact. I would very much like your opinion to get a second pair of ears on the contacts to see if they match my interpretations of the responses. Like I say! This is still early days and still very much in the testing stages. Many thanks Lance.

The closes I got to going to a USA presentation was in 2008 for Tom and Lisa Butler, I was a speaker there, but my wife got taken sick so I had to cancel. Never mind, maybe one day I can meet you all

  23. Experiment from today: Check the sound of graphite powder immersed in demineralized water with electrodes at both ends. Looks like sewage but it's a graphite-water emulsion. The noise characteristic is very linear; small bias -> little noise, big bias -> much noise. Everything intermixed with spiky voices.   26. I discovered something new. It's not only how the CCR was conditioned or altered by aging, the dc bias current plays a major role too. Even resistors with a rather low pk-modulation turn out to be more aggressive if exposed to more bias current. Should have known this from my earlier coherer experiments. I now have changed my setup to make the bias adjustable. Moreover I implemented a simple noise gate. Voices are extremely strong! Will put clips tomorrow. In conjunction with the gate circuit the background noise vanishes completely and the full but heavily distorted voices seem to come out of nothing. The absence of noise in the output signal gives me another benefit. In now can do level triggered recording in Audacity and just grab the sequences when a voice is present.

  27. The Pentagon UAP/UFO Report: Small Step or Giant Leap for the Legitimacy of Controversial Research? On the evening of March 13th, 1997, thousands of people in Arizona described seeing a group of orangish lights in a triangular formation moving slowly through the sky toward Phoenix. Some people described only seeing the lights against the darkened sky, but described the object as solid since it seemed to block out the stars as it glided past. Other witnesses described a v-shaped or boomerang-shaped craft, with lights on each arm of the craft. Many witnesses watched in stunned amazement as the unexplained object glided silently and slowly over their houses at low altitude. Bill Greiner was a cement truck driver who witnessed the ‘Phoenix lights’ as they came to be known, and had this to say: “I’ll never be the same. Before this, if anybody had told me they saw a UFO, I would’ve said, “Yeah and I believe in the Tooth Fairy.” “Now I’ve got a whole new view and I may be just a dumb truck driver, but I’ve seen something that don’t belong here.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights The “Phoenix Lights” were witnessed by thousands of people who flooded local police stations and news media outlets with reports, but the story was not widely covered, at least initially. With national interest now pressuring local officials for an explanation, the Air Force began suggesting that that the lights belonged to jets flying in formation, helium flares, even sky lanterns. Arizona Governor Fife Symington III held a televised press conference to address the growing clamor over the sightings. Many sincere eye-witnesses believe they saw something unusual in the Arizona skies that night, and hoped for a legitimate investigation and real answers from their elected leader. Governor Symington claims he was just trying to avoid mass panic by lightening the mood, an idea that backfired spectacularly. The Governor’s actions simultaneously delegitimized the experiences of witnesses, and set the tone for how UFO sightings should be treated: with ridicule. TOn the tenth anniversary of the Phoenix lights incident Symington recanted his original view and expressed regret about the way he handled that now infamous press conference. In his interview with journalist Leslie Kean on the event, he was quoted as saying, “If I had to do it all over again I probably would have handled it differently.” He continued by admitting that he, too, was an eye-witness to the craft allegedly observed over Phoenix. Symington was quoted in the Prescott Daily Observer as saying, “I’m a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I’ve ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people. I don’t know why people would ridicule it.” Now, the purpose of bringing up the Phoenix lights is not to provide evidence for or against an extraterrestrial explanation. There are compelling claims on both sides, without much hard evidence from either. I highlight the Phoenix Lights as an example of the kind of derision and mocking behavior that routinely accompanies unexplained phenomena that challenges current science, current politics or the social norm. It’s the same response received by some who have had a spiritually-transformative experience, such as a near-death experience or after-death communication. Ordinary, sincere and otherwise sane people sometimes do have incredible and scientifically unexplainable experiences and sadly, when they share these experiences with medical professionals, clergy, even friends and family, they are often met with the same dismissiveness, leading many to doubt what may have been the most profound experience of their life. The court of popular opinion is easily swayed by how unusual events or experiences are portrayed in movies, the media and by public officials. And for decades, anything relating to UFOs was flatly dismissed by the military and government, and met by eye-rolls and laughter when reported by the media. Movies have portrayed ufologists as cringe-worthy neckbeards who land a little left of center; not to be taken seriously. The same is true with people who have claimed to have experienced a paranormal or spiritually transformative experience, although the mocking is a little less pernicious due to the sensitivity of the subject matter. Regardless, if you tell someone that in your moment of grief, you saw your recently deceased mother sitting at the kitchen table, the response may be concern for your mental state rather than awe. We form our worldview based on a combination of our experiences, our ideological beliefs, and what we perceive to be socially acceptable. Our worldview is precious to us; it makes us feel whole and sane, and give us the impression that our lives are somewhat predictable. And studies show that humans will go to great lengths to protect their worldview, engaging in confirmation bias and doubling down on unsupported beliefs, even when presented with good evidence to the contrary. Humans are just lousy at being reasonable and open-minded. When authority figures tell the public that eyewitness accounts of alien craft are simply swamp gas, those whose worldview does not include extraterrestrials will use this as confirmation of their beliefs. For those whose worldview relies on the ET explanation, authority figures are instead engaging in disinformation as part of a grand conspiracy. Irrational opinions rarely change, we simply surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who confirm our worldview and make us feel more affirmed in what we believe in. We rarely, if ever, take a truly open-minded look at the evidence or an issue from both sides to make an informed decision about what we believe, especially when that belief can signal our identity to others and leave us open to judgement. Humans probably make far more informed choices about what refrigerator to buy than what they believe about UFOs or life after death or religion or politics. No one can infer your worldview, association or identity through your appliance choices, and that’s the difference. So what happens when governmental authorities do an ‘about face’ and admit, after decades of covering up claims of UFO sightings, that they are in fact real and unidentified? Does it change anything? Well, the answer is yes and no. People with entrenched worldviews that do not include the possibility of aliens will focus on the evidence that confirms a terrestrial explanation. And those whose worldview are heavily invested in aliens will do the opposite. However, with the government’s admission that there is something unidentified in our skies, the time for mocking and derision is clearly over. UAPs are here, and now we get to argue over what they actually are. For anyone who hasn’t been appropriately filled in on the story, on June 25, 2021 the Pentagon released a report admitting that UFOs, now branded UAPs or unidentified aerial phenomena, are real, unexplained and may prove to be a threat to our national security. The report did not specifically mention an extraterrestrial origin for such craft, but did not rule it out either. This report was a response to a request from Congress, packaged inside of last year’s COVID bill, to provide an unclassified report to Congress and the public providing an explanation for the many reports of UAPs. This was partially in response to several leaked videos showing UAPs performing aerial maneuvers that seem to defy the current capability of our technology. In fact, these UAPs, if they are indeed aircraft of some kind, seemed to defy the laws of physics as we understand them. These videos were later admitted to be genuine by the US Navy. It was also discovered that the Defense Intelligence Agency did in fact form an investigative program in 2007 called AATIP, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, instigated by Senator Harry Reid. I must clarify that I am not advocating for the idea that UAPs are extraterrestrial in origin. My purpose here to push for open-minded investigations into all unexplained phenomena, whether it is UAPs or near-death experiences. I agree with the Department of Defense that without evidence to the contrary, nothing can be ruled out. This is a complete departure from the stance taken for half a century, where any and all official organizations purposefully and maliciously undermined any research on UFOs. The government and prominent scientists blatantly denied their existence and publicly shamed anyone who supported research into the phenomenon. News outlets and media have followed suit, either ignoring or mocking anyone who dared advance the idea with any sincerity. Since news of the impending report broke, I have been quite satisfied to watch news anchors squirm in their seats, trying to decide how to report the news that UAPs are real without being able to turn it into some kind of joke. At least one news anchor that I watched broke from his narrative, shaking his head in disbelief. He exclaimed, “I can’t believe I’m actually reporting this, but apparently UFOs are real.” Of course, this hasn’t stopped popular scientists, debunkers and hardline skeptics from trying their best to resist the conclusions of the report. Popular scientists, who have enjoyed mocking UFO enthusiasts in the past, have been caught off-guard by the UAP report and in the days after have stumbled through some truly cringe-worthy protestations. One claimed that maybe the highly-trained Navy Pilots didn’t know what they were seeing, a charge that any pilot worth their training should vigorously object to. Another blamed video and sensor equipment used, despite the fact that such highly classified technology cost billions of dollars and are used by our military personnel on a daily basis. A quote from the report issued by the Director of National Intelligence reads: “After carefully considering this information, the UAPTF focused on reports that involved UAP largely witnessed firsthand by military aviators and that were collected from systems we considered to be reliable.” https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Prelimary-Assessment-UAP-20210625.pdf Additionally, this particular scientist has failed to understand that the Department of Defense make up some of our best and most highly trained military and scientific personnel. They most certainly would have ruled out such a thing by cross-checking their observations against multiple sensor apparatus. This is indeed confirmed in the executive summary of the report where it states: “Most of the UAP reported probably do represent physical objects given that a majority of UAP were registered across multiple sensors, to include radar, infrared, electro-optical, weapon seekers, and visual observation.” https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Prelimary-Assessment-UAP-20210625.pdf When the media have interviewed officials involved in the report or the investigative agencies, they are extremely careful not to mention extraterrestrials or aliens. When asked point-blank about the possibility, they have all simply said that UAPs remain unexplained, and therefore nothing can be ruled in or out without more data. Perhaps this disappoints people who want aliens to be the answer, but this is the best and most responsible answer that can be given, and I applaud them for their neutrality. Despite all of the overt confirmation bias showing up on both sides of issue, the fact is this: UAPs must now be taken seriously. And now that the government has finally come out and admitted that unidentified phenomena in our skies is real and worth investigating, the public needs to hold their hand to the fire for the 60 years that they shamed and discredited anyone, especially our military personnel, for reporting these sightings in good faith. The public should also look carefully at other such unexplained phenomena that are routinely mocked or dismissed as ridiculous and question their own beliefs on the topic. Many people have been trained to think about the existence of ghosts, signs from the dead, near-death experiences and a contact with spirits as immediately false and laughable. We’ve been taught that admitting to believing in such things marks you as being crazy or gullible. This is now a perfect opportunity to question how and when we learned to judge others about beliefs that we haven’t ourselves investigated, especially when presented with scientific evidence. I am always reminded of Dr. Daryl Bem, a distinguished psychologist who spent ten years designing and running various experiments on the hypothesis that humans have some precognitive ability. Bem found that students would do better on a verbal recall test if they studied the words after the test was over. Students recoiled from gory pictures they hadn’t yet seen, and chose racy sexual images correctly more often than chance. The results were statistically significant based on the methodology accepted by all scientists in the field of experimental psychology. The resulting scientific paper called “Feeling the Future: Experimental Evidence for Anomalous Retroactive Influences on Cognition and Affect” was accepted into the stringent and esteemed Journey of Personality and Social Psychology which has a 85% non-acceptance rate. No one could poke holes in this study – either the way the experiments were set up or the math used to calculate the statistics. But regardless of the fact that the results were rather indisputable, other scientists simply could not – would not – accept the conclusion of the study. Dutch mathematician E.J. Wagenmakers was quoted as saying, “I had to put it away several times. Reading it made me physically unwell.” Wagenmakers was likely feeling the acute sensation of cognitive dissonance. When we are presented with information that threatens our worldview, we may temporarily be forced to hold two assumptions at once. This is a highly uncomfortable and untenable position, and so we either change our worldview, or look for a way to invalidate the new information to preserve our existing one. Bem’s paper hit the scientific community like a tsunami. But at the end of the fervor that followed, Bem’s results weren’t taken as proof of precognition. It was instead decided that the entire methodological and statistical process agreed upon by psychologists, statisticians and their respective scientific journals used for decades must have been flawed. In short, Bem followed the rules set by the establishment. The establishment didn’t like the result when the rules were applied to a controversial subject, so they decided they now have to change the rules. Is that science or scientism? The government’s admission that UFOs are indeed real may finally afford a controversial, antiestablishment hypothesis some measure of serious regard. While most topics in life after death research do not enjoy serious attention by mainstream scientists yet, I believe we will see a future where medical and scientific authority figures will also be forced to reckon with these experiences or risk being on the wrong side of history. It’s already somewhat happening in near-death experience research, and other areas with good scientific evidence will hopefully soon follow. If we can continue to make such topics less threatening to the average American worldview by fighting the ridicule by mainstream debunkers and pseudoskeptics (particularly on Wikipedia), we might have a fighting chance. I long for the day when a newscaster reports on the serious scientific study of NDEs and says, with disbelief, “I can’t belief I’m reporting on this, but apparently, consciousness may survive physical death.” I suppose for now, we must still contend with media outlets trotting out some of the least qualified scientists to discuss NDEs in order to further the long-debunked claim that NDEs are just the product of a dying brain. In the meantime, let us pledge that in all areas of our life, we will not use our beliefs like a security blanket, wrapping them around our fragile egos. Consider all beliefs sincerely held to be tentative, subject to change when better evidence comes along. Lastly, never be afraid to stand up for any truth that you believe merits serious consideration and never attempt to silence the opinions of others. Fight with evidence, facts and information – not censorship, character attacks or derision. You do not want to be remembered like Fife Symington, who is forever immortalized on YouTube mocking UFO witnesses. Abstract In this document I will describe how I accidentally unveiled one of the most powerful and simple ITC devices I was able to realize since the start of my engagement with ITC years ago. I found it by spiritual guidance. The experiments described in this document are a spin-off from my various coherer experiments I did before. Sample of a very strong voice: Very strong voice - processed.mp3 I will show how I came to discover the ITC properties of carbon composition resistors, how they do perform in ITC applications and also what processes I developed to identify and optimize their ITC-relevant parameters. I also have a theory about the working principle in the observed phenomenon that is aligned with the concepts I have laid out in my paper "The Coherer Effect", published in the Varanormal section "Papers - Research, Theories, Concepts" As usual I will share all schematics, pictures and test results in this document. My hope is that lot's of people are going to replicate this most simple device and make up their mind on their own about this stunning phenomeon. 2. Preface Personally I thought my quest for the coherer effect in ITC ended by publishing my paper "The coherer Effect" (See the Varanormal section for papers). In a way I felt "through" with this topic and I wanted to continue with investigations on direct microphone voices. There was one thing left I wanted to shift-in as a transitional project and it was based on an idea for a digital ITC circuit. I had the vague idea of using a clock signal to drive the SET and RESET lines of an ordinary digital flipflop simultaneously. Thus the digital output of the flipflop would be determinded by race conditions on the respective SET and RESET lines. Depending on what signal made it first into the flipflop the balance of 1s and 0s would be shifted up and down, causing a varying dc component in the signal that would carry spirit imprints hopefully. I got a fairly good noise from the circuit and also some pk-modulation (psychokinetic modulation from spirits). In my pursue to optimize the signal I accidentally ripped off the clock line from the flipflop. Strangely enough the pk modulation remained! Now I started to remove more and more electronic components from the breadboard methodically, always checking if something in the signal had changed. In the end everything was left was the final OpAmp (Operational amplifier, a widely used standard component in electronics to amplify signals) I used to adapt the signal level to the line input of my computer sound card. The voices still were there! After some detailed scrutinizing I finally could identify the reason for this phenomenon in a simple resistor network. This network was made of a simple 1:2 voltage divider I used to bias the OpAmp in the middle of the power supply range. Again, this is a standard procedure done in electronic design and absolutely nothing special. Thus the resistors were causing the voices and nothing else and the simple question was, why? The fact that makes everything what happened so strange is that, by pure accident, I picked two very old resistors from my component box just because they did fit very well mechanically into the constraints of my breadboard. These resistor were the remnants of a package of unused but scrapped components I literally had pulled out of the trashcan in the company I formerly worked for and that went bankruptcy 14 years ago. Those resistors were VERY old! I was bewildered by the strong modulation that came out of this hilarious simple circuit and I simplified it a bit to make it work with only one of those precious resistors. 3. The test circuit Fig.1: Schematic of test circuit This circuit is so simple that it almost isn't worth to loose a single word about it. Transistor T1 is a 2,5mA DC current source. The current flows through R1 which is one of the miraculous resistors. The current is calculated such that the nominal resistor value of R1 causes a voltage drop across it that is half of the 12VDC power supply. The Opamp is perfectly biased then. The circuitry around the OpAmp makes it a simple non-inverting, high impedance amplifier with an adjustable amplification between 56 and roughly 100.000. He also works as a moderate band-pass but this is not essential for the performance of this circuit. The modulation was pretty strong. Even with a polarized capacitor of 47uF across R1 there were strong impulses, however of course lacking spectral content. Fig.2: pk-modulation and SNR The left picture shows a signal with strong bandwidth limitation while the right one is just limited by the band-pass features of the OpAmp. Signals like that are rare! What confused me was the low amplification I needed to get huge noise amplitudes from this circuit. I adjusted the potentiometer roughly to a value of 100 ohms. This gives an amplification factor of 560 or 55dB. If you take usual noise amplitudes into account from semiconductor elements, or even thermal noise from resistors, this low amplification is absolutely a joke! Normally you would need amplifications of 10.000 and more to get a reasonable noise amplitude and I could generate a one Volt amplitude easily by applying just an amplification of 560. That means the noise was incredibly strong! 4. Curious Incidents The results I accidentally gained from this little circuit made me scratch my head, to say the least. I discussed the phenomenon with Michael Lee in the research group and because the circuit was so simple he replicated it fast. However he did it with a simple voltage divider instead of my current source but this made no difference regarding the observed effect. Besides, the circuit was almost similar to one Michael had tested a year ago and he called a "whistler", because of the flute like sound it creates. Michael sent me back an audio sample and it showed the basic characteristics of what I had observed. However I do not know if he also had carbon composite resistors at hand as he replicated my circuit. Fig.4: Carbon Composition Resistor Prototype After finishing and adjusting this device I let it run on Varanormal stream 4. It gave a very nice and strong noise but apparently, no pk-modulation and thus no voices! I double and triple checked every component in the circuit but everything was running perfectly in terms of electronics. The effect came out of nothing and seemed to have disappeared again into the void? Slowly my head became dizzy from this strange behavior. Luckily I still had my breadboard setup that continued to function. The logical thing was to exchange the resistors. Both resistors were from the same type of carbon composition resistors (CCR) of course. Fig.5: Comparison of CCR and standard resistor The CCR is the bulky resistor. The other one is a standard metal film resistor. Both resistors I used in my breadboard and in the prototype, were the bulky one type. After exchanging the resistors I had pk-modulation in my prototype and none in my breadboard. So it became clear that necessarily not every CCR of the same type gives pk-modulation. I valued this insight as very important! I found some more resistors of the same type and luckily also some that gave good pk-modulation. Finally I had the prototype running and did more experiments. Recording the stream several times in small chunks and analyze them turned out to be favorable. Since I am well trained to decode even noisy and distorted voices I was given some very strange messages. From what the spirits told me in their, sometimes weird structured speech, was that they picked up my idea of the coherer and started to conduct experiments on their side, obviously with the goal to "meet me in the middle". I was named as "the professor" even I don't have a beard. Two development streams, one starting in the physical world and another coming from the hereafter, mutually connecting somewhere was the idea. They said they utilized my concept of carbon coherers and that there was more to follow. The asked for more time to adapt "their circuits". She usually is doing sessions with discarnated people and other "beings" and she said she suddenly heard my name. And then, again a little later, a person with mediumistic skills who do not wants his identity being unveiled, reached out for me and said he received messages addressing me. In these messages I was told to continue the research on coherers and especially organic ones (made from carbon). There would be a higher principle behind it for a new type of understanding of ITC coming in the future. Remember I decided weeks ago to quit with all that coherer stuff but this was a new context starting to open and I was willing to pick up the ball. 5. The physics of a Carbon Composition Resistor Time now to specify what we are talking about. A carbon composition resistor or "CCR" is the first type of resistor that was commonly used in the uprising world of electronics starting somewhere between WWI and WWII and extending into the beginning of the 70's. This type of resistor was easy to produce, it was cheap and it was bad. CCR's were known to have very high manufacturing tolerances, they changed their resistance while being soldered, by the influence of high voltages or just by lying around in a stock for years, at a rate of roughly 5% of their nominal value per year. Ah yes and they were known to produce much noise. So electronic engineers hated them but ITC experimenters should instantly fall in love with those bitchy beasts. The answer why one resistor produces noise and good pk modulation and the next one not, obviously is caused by the individual behavior of those components. Technically a CCR is a bunch of fine powdered carbon mixed with resin. The carbon particles are embedded in the non conducting resin and depending on their concentration in the resin compound they give more or less conduction that makes up the resistor value. Of course the image of millions of small carbon particles with loose contact among each other immediately made me think of a "frozen" coherer and explained very well the ITC results I obtained. For me two important question were arising from this context: Are there any measurable parameters to identify a resistor with good pk-modulation? Are there any means to turn a CCR with bad or no pk-modulation into a working one (in terms of ITC)? 5.1 High Voltage treatment I used an old high voltage generator I built years ago to bombshell a CCR, which had a very bad pk-modulation, with 5cm sparks. Maybe this was a little too much since the CCR decreased his nominal value from 2.2 KOhm down to 1k ohm and showed no more noise, let alone pk-modulation. So that was not the right treatment. I decided to proceed more methodically and took what I could find of the 2.2 KOhm CCR type I used and measured their real impedance and their pk-modulation. The results are as follows, ordered by impedance. Fig.6: 1k-CCR - noise and modulation You see the damaged 1k resistor (real impedance) was literally dead. Please skip the lower part with the heating for now. I will come back to this later. Fig.7: 3.27KOhm CCR pk-modulation Another resistor had a real impedance of 3.27 KOhm. This is an increase in impedance of already 50% of the nominal level. An electronic engineers nightmare, so to speak. But you can see there is a remarkable amount of noise in it and roughly 40% of pk-modulation. The pk modulation was estimated from the ratio of the maximum amplitude swing compared to full swing. Fig.8: 3.75KOhm CCR pk-modulation The next resistor really stirs up the dirt. With a real impedance of 3.75 KOhm the pk-modulation reaches 90%! Fig.9: 4.2KOhm CCR pk-modulation The 4.2KOhm CCR puts the end point to this row of measurements. It reaches about 95% pk-modulation! Obviously there is a stable relationship between the rising impedance level of the resistors and their pk-modulation. Thus we can put an answer to question one, saying yes, there is a measurable parameter. We just need to check the real impedance and if it is approx 70% or more OVER the nominal level we have a good pk-modulation. 5.3 Heating Now let me come back to the thing with heating a CCR. What I found out in the internet was that CCR's are increasing their impedance during soldering, that means while applying heat to the resistor. It was logical to take the damaged 1 k resistor and apply some heat from a lighter to it. In fact the resistor value climbed up to 1.12 KOhm what gives us a rise of 12% in impedance AND an increase of noise from -56 dB up to -48 dB. A noise gain of 8 dB is not bad. Sadly further heating cycles did not yield into more noise gain, so this mean to improve noise and pk-modulation is constrained by definition. 5.4 High Voltage Treatment V2.0 To conduct more experiments I purchased a bunch of 15 KOhm CCR's from Morganite, a former british manufacturer of resistors mainly used in radio equipment up to the 70's. I had some nice discussions about CCR's and their physical and "spiritual" properties in the forum with Ron and especially with Jeff. He told me that Morganite was known as the engineers curse because of their unpredictable behavior to change their impedance. I did a lot of internet recherche because Jeff told me that CCR's were conditioned by exposing them to a high voltage. This treatment was more or less emulating what the resistor was facing in the electronic circuits of yesterday that mainly were made of vacuum tubes and their corresponding high anode voltages of 250 VDC. So I decided to give it a try and took one of those Morganite beasts and measured the noise coming out on my breadboard setup, then pulled it out, hooked it up to my power supply in my shack and "baked" it at 80 VDC for some minutes, where it became moderately warm. Now see the results in the following figure. Fig.10: Comparison of 15 KOhm Morganite CCR before and after HV treatment Before the treatment the noise level was at -39 dB in average. After 3 minutes of treatment it climbed up to -13 dB. A noise gain of 26 dB by just some minutes of HV treatment AND I got some pk-modulation for free on top! I repeated the experiment with another Morganite resistor and let it bake for 4.5h at 80 VDC. Again the noise level was increased but I almost got no pk-modulation. OK, I thought, resistors are individuals! I left it aside for a while and then turned it on again to verify my measurements. First there was nothing but then I realized a thick oxide layer on the leads and scratched it away. After switching on the circuit again my headphones tended to explode, the noise signal was over all limits and drove my amplifier into saturation. I also observed uncontrolled self oscillations. There is definitely a need to investigate this in more depth. We now can also put an answer to the second question we formulated. By applying a moderate HV to a CCR we can increase noise and pk-modulation remarkably. 6. Outline of a possible explanation I already wrote a lot about coherers in ITC and hypothesized how they might do what they do. So, in this article I just want to emphasize again that a carbon composition resistor shares a lot of similarities with the graphite coherer I scrutinized so deeply. Both devices work with fine carbon particles and loose connections. They produce the same voice characteristics, often distorted voice signals with exceptional signal to noise ratio. The CCR has some benefits compared to the standard graphite coherer, since it is more stable. Coherer receivers occasionally require readjustments while the CCR retains his characteristics. The problem is that not every CCR is a good "carbon coherer". The quality of fragile interconnections between the carbon particles that are so important for a good pk-sensitivity, is a random output of the manufacturing process. Generally aging and HV treatment are good for the CCR in ITC applications. This is logical because aging likely means a degradation of the carbon contacts. The HV treatment causes molecule migration and thus is making the fragile interconnections even more fragile. This increases the quantum tunneling effect and thus the noise generation and pk-modulation of the CCR. If this is true then CCR's with higher impedance values could yield better results in ITC. Their share in the mixture with resin is smaller. Lesser particles mean lesser and more fragile interconnections and more noise. This is yet to be proven. Epilogue I'm hoping for people in the community willing to replicate my findings and sharing their results with me.   29. Thank you Sfay. In fact I see this just as the beginning and if spiritual guidance will continue than more will follow. In a way my investigations are circling more and more around carbon. It's a very special element. Electrically it is a semiconductor, chemically related to silicon, strongly entangled with quantum tunneling effects, biologically it is the fundamental of life because all organic chemistry is based on carbon. I have the vague feeling carbon is a link between the physical and the spiritual. Edison invented the carbon microphone and did amazing experiments with carbon, like the tasimeter and I am guessing his works for the spiritual telephone, he made in his last years, were also based on his experiences with carbon. For me it's like carbon is telling me, "Find out who I am" and I am picking up the ball.

  34. Ive been thinking about the reasons for the variation in pk modulation ability of the resistors, Andres. I think is probably due in part to the particular relationship between peak amplitudes of large spikes verses the level of the averaged waveform (and the sweet spot proportion of each per unit of time). There will be a sweet spot in the differential which works best I imagine, as yes I agree, it probably acts as a catalyst for dimensional overlap (for a short period, and then exponentially decays). One idea came to mind and that was to pulse the constant current with very short but high amplitude pulses to simulate /stimulate the triggering effect. I know youve got regen in the cct, but it may be too 'sloppy' to be effective, and may not add benefit to add noise floor back into itself as well. The post processing I used is my old favourite: Mr Vocal Anonymize in WavePad. Reduced pitch, changed speed, noise spectral subtraction, and then a touch of reverb to give it some "body" - oh dear thats a pun. I think that was the recipe, not 100% sure, as I just make it up as I go.

  35. Learned a lot today. The problem of the prototype receiver that produces noise without voices made me do some more tests. Finally I found out those carbon resistors are kind of beasts. They make look equal and may give similar resistance values but under the hood the noise amplitude and pk modulation differ a lot?   36. I see your point. Thus a microphone is something that works as an antenna for spirit energy but its intended use is bypassed under EvP conditions. I also had my best results with electret microphones. Maybe they are more susceptible to the (probably) electrical outcomes of spirit voice manifestations compared to microphone types that are utilizing different physical concepts for transforming sound into electricity. This should be easy to prove if we would take a electret mic capsule and seal it against sound completely like drowning it in epoxy resin or something similar. A low hanging fruit I'd like to pick. From what you said it at least appears reasonable to think that background noise increases the probability of spirit voices, likely due to energy transfer. From this point of view it could be very promising to test energy sources that don't interfere with the voice signal like ultrasonic waves. I guess this is more or less what Hans Otto Koenig did. The most fascinating thing is that spirits seem to reconfigure any kind of noise no matter if the process is acoustically, electrically or magnetically(?) based. In our world "Noise" is not an object for itself, it is a temporal representation of a signal that has a specific physical property (electric, magnetic, acoustical,..). But for the spirits "noise" seems to be an object, a base quality for itself and it's physical representation is not that important.

  37. That is not me in that clip but another team member. Almost every member of the team has run VR Ghostbox sessions during the years we have used the program. There were actually three team members at that session with the speaker. The VR Ghostbox is a program that only plays on a computer and not a tablet or a phone, so yes that is a small computer connected to a speaker. The text that is displayed during the session is what the team agreed they heard coming through the VR Ghostbox. When we do these interpretations we listen phonetically and for syllables. We also have more then one person submit an interpretation. Sometimes we hear the same things and sometimes we are only phonetically close. What I think is of interest in that session is that the longer responses have a sing song quality about them. That would be "I kicked the bucket", "Home from Vietnam...turning" and the "German's on the hill trying killing me." I wondered if singing or pushing through a cadence makes longer responses possible on their end. The pie plate is used to place a trigger object in. We then clip a proximity detector that is sensitive to static charge to the pie plate. If you get near the plate or the trigger object the sensor goes off. I have used that particular piece of equipment for 10 years and it has never been triggered but two other members of the team have the same sensor and have had luck with it.

  42. Vicki Talbott is a retired a TESOL/Linguistics professor. When her only child Braeden died in a kayaking accident in 2000, they both already knew about the afterlife and EVP. So it was not a surprise to Vicki when she started receiving messages from Braeden on her answerphone. What did surprise her, however, was that Braeden had already been coming through to a group of mothers experimenting with EVP. It seems that a group of children in the afterlife who called themselves and their parents 'The Big Circle' were working together to help each other to send messages to their parents by electronic means. Vicky joined the Big Circle and she and Braeden continue to work to communicate and unite children with their parents and teach about life everlasting.

  45. A word about Infinity Box EXP Program. The infinity Box program first came out in 2015 as a free download. Over time, Norton and other antivirus programs did not like the program's behavior. Infinity Box has been brought back in a new version but it will cost you about $17 US. If you want to play with Infinity Box I still have the free application and will share with anyone who requests it. Just so you know your antivirus will try to quarantine the application's file(s).
