Marion Dampier-Jeans was a natural medium who grew up in Denmark with a danish father and a Norwegian mother. VIDEO SEVEN: CONTACT! VIDEO SEVEN: CONTACT! In this new video Anabela Cardoso recaps the main steps to experiment with the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), namely: 1. Select a quiet place where there are no uncontrolled noises. 2. Select a source of noise; if the operator aims at the DRV (Direct Radio Voices) the obvious choice will be radio noise, preferably in the Short Wave(SW) in a point of the tuning scale where there are no normal radio emissions, between two stations. 3. Sit down and become quiet and relaxed. 4. Record for 10 to 15 minutes and ask questions to your invisible communicators leaving an interval of 1 to 2 minutes between each question. 5. Keep a log of your experiments. 6. Thank your communicators and listen to your playblack preferably next day so that your ears are not tired. She again confirmed that there is no specific protocol for the DRV. Every single ITC operator who receives the DRV has started by the EVP experimentation. Anabela reveals that her Rio do Tempo communicators have told her that they “are endeavouring and working to establish contact with everybody in this [our] world interested in the next world”. To realize this project they need many people to try the contact. Dr Cardoso finishes by playing two different anomalous electronic voices, one recommending her to make contact through the microphone and a spontaneous one which occurred during a telephone conversation with two friends.

She emphasizes that this kind of powerful radios are aimed at the DRV work but unnecessary for the EVP work, which only requires a soft noise of whatever kind. Anabela connects her radios to the mains (wall power). They are not battery powered although they could be. She feels without any certainty that direct wall power might be an interesting component in this work. She again reports on the frequencies she uses: 11.178kHz, 22.545kHz, 13.250kHz, 250MHz. She recommends potential ITC operators to read a few basic books on EVP/ITC which are important for the understanding and study of this discipline: Friedrich Jürgenson’s Voice Transmissions with the Deceased (Carl Michael von Hausswolff, Firework Edition 2004), Dr Konstantin Raudive’s Breakthrough (Colin Smythe 1971), Hildegard Schäfer’s Théorie et Pratique de la Transcommunication (Ed. Robert Laffont, Paris 1992) or Hildegard Schäfer’s Portuguese translation Ponte entre o Aqui e o Além, (Pensamento, 1992). Anabela restates her dislike of the idea that “hunting for voices” is an entertainment of a minor kind and paraphrases Prof Hans Bender’s opinion on the significance of ITC after his tests with F. Jürgenson, that the phenomenon is perhaps the most important event in the history of mankind. VIDEO FIVE. A visit to Anabela Cardoso’s studio In this short segment Anabela shows her recording studio, a small acoustically well insulated room at her house. She reports on the frequencies she uses in her experiments and informs the potential EVP operator that the frequencies are not so important in this type of work. It is the type of noise that seems to be relevant for the Direct Radio Voices while for EVP experiments noise should be much softer.

VIDEO FOUR: The role of noise (II) In this presentation Anabela Cardoso continues her exposé about the role of noise in the EVP work. She emphasises the importance of not allowing normal radio emissions to taint the recording by using them as acoustic background support. The use of human voice as noise source, although conducive to positive results because the electronic voices use the “raw material” existent in the environment, is not advisable. The results cannot be shown to a serious audience and they may also provoke acoustic delusions in the EVP operator since it is very easy to mistake a normal sentence extant in the background acoustic support for an anomalous sentence. To avoid the danger of pareidolia, or acoustic delusion, she recommends pre-recording the radios emissions or the streaming that the ITC operator wishes to use in his or her EVP experiments and when the operator thinks that there is an anomalous inclusion, he or she can always check the pre-recorded noise source. She mentions the broad-band radio that she used in her experiments.
