  1. Is this a psychological test?!  In the first picture I see an animal-like head with eyes, ears, black nose, open mouth with teeth.  In the next few it looks like it's going through a decomposing process.  In  picture #5, besides the face with the open mouth, sticking out its tongue, I see 2 faces at the top.  The face on the right looks a lot like your avatar Andres!  Ever changing faces.  My favorite is #6.  It just looks like a sweet entity I wouldn't mind staring back at me from the fountain.  Some of the Black & White ones are a little disturbing...

    Did I pass?

  2. My sister sent me a picture of her Diamond Painting craft project she was working on.  It isn't really painting,  and it has nothing to do with diamonds.... so I don't know where they came up with that.  You use half round beads that come with the kit, and attach them to sticky patterned material to create a framable quality picture when you have completed it.  Because the surface is sticky, it needs to be protected from dust or anything else touching it while it is a work in progress so these kits come with a highly reflective, thin clear acrylic sheet that you leave on the project to protect the stickiness.

I could see a face in the picture she sent.  She didn't mention it so I didn't say anything about it because I felt it might scare her.  So, I immediately went over to my Diamond Painting in progress, a took a picture.  I saw two images, though not as clearly as in her picture. A few days later I asked her for another picture to "see her progress".  She sent two because she happened to be working on two different projects at the same time.

If I don't max out on my allowed files space, I'll attach the 4 pics here.  Otherwise I'll add later.  Does anyone recognize anyone in these?  I think I recognize one of them as someone known to most people.  The purple color on the first pic looks like a hat but it isn't necessarily so.  The material is colorized to give an idea of how the project will turn out.  I believe there just wasn't any light reflecting in that area.

    Hi Andrea,

your plan sounds amazing! I had very good results with electric condenser microphones, so I can recommend them and I use them everywhere in my designs where microphones are involved. Keith Clark has much experience with Krisp which is not easy to tame in my eyes. So if you have questions regarding Krisp you should contact Keith. Moreover I can confirm that Krisp adds more EVP's generally.

The idea of a parabolic reflector is new and I would like to hear your results. I never used this actually because due to my experience the volume and quality of the background noise plays a role in ITC but not where it comes from. However you may get different results. So go on, we are curious about your results!

    Hi Andrés,

Thank you for the information, I appreciate it!

I'm trying to boost my live sound source with the parabolic reflector pointed at it, while using a usb mic plugged into my computer which is doing the recording.  I suppose just adding an auxiliary mic would be an improvement to using the computer's built-in mic, but I am curious to see what happens.

I'll search and see if Keith has posted information here about Krisp.  I'm getting really small voice patterns after processing with Krisp, which is why I'd like to try enhancing the sound of the source.  I'm not ready to give up on Krisp yet. I'll see if I can solve it.

    Thanks again!

Some of my equipment includes various dynamic, condenser and ribbon mics.  I used them in conjunction with a denoiser, 24 band EQ, isolation transformers and a mixer with shielded cables as well as 2 foot parabolic lenses with a 4 inch focal point.  Talk about being able to hear a flea fart.

Through it all I couldn't get rid of the noise with out the noise gate. No noise --- no evp's.

Of course I could be wrong.  I've been wrong plenty of times - just ask my wife  🙂

I was happy to find this post from a year ago!  I am actually considering making and testing a parabolic reflector right now and was wondering if anyone here has used one and how it worked out.  I'm planning on using Krisp for the noise elimination after recording.  I know that that there are disadvantages of processing this way but I still would like to try it.  One issue is that there is the potential of evps being added to the original captures. I've had this happen twice before, and the only reason I knew it happened was because I made a 3 second recorded leader of silence prior to pressing the start button on the previous recording to process through Krisp.  An interesting side note is that both times the added evps in the preceding 3 seconds where saying that they wanted to "watch".

I'm considering a ribbon mic or a condenser mic placed in the reflector.  I would think that an omnidirectional mic would be best in this situation, but maybe not. The bi-directional ribbon mic functions differently and therefor is of interest to me.

I would be grateful for any wisdom you could share with me/us on this any of this.

Among the patterns you have noticed - have you heard vocalizations that omit definite articles? Recently I noticed some in my review.

    Operator,

I didn't recall omission of definite articles, at least not in the English language replies.  I went back to check and upon a brief review, I see only one example of omission.  What I find odd is that I had a hard time finding a response where the rule should be applied, even though they are speaking in complete sentences.  You wouldn't be asking about this unless you are finding this pattern yourself.  It seems like it is difficult for them to hold the same level of energy throughout a longer response, and definite as well as indefinite articles could in that case blend into an adjacent word.  Or, there could be something entirely different going on!

A Bio-Sonification study regarding mushrooms sounds interesting.  Be sure to let us know if you learn more about it.

  6.   I have to apologize, I did not notice your "NOTE" when I answered previously.  I don't use a ghost box or similar equipment.  I use my MacBook Pro with its internal mic along with music editing software.  For sound source I've used gibberish, on-site flowing water recorded by my phone, my air purifier on turbo speed, tap water, and once with one of the live feeds found on this site.  I'm using Krisp for noise cancellation with everything except the gibberish.  Even still, we are experiencing some of the same patterns!

    A FEW MORE PATTERNS -

They usually also speak at the same time that I'm asking questions.  In one session, they kept ending their phrase with the same word I was using to end my question.  I found that interesting to ponder.

They have conversations with each other as if you are not there.  You feel like you are eves-dropping.

They come as individuals & also as groups.  When it's a group, it often times seems to be a team and they are working together.

They want to help.  There are numerous responses similar to, "I'm here for you", "I'm with you", "I can help", "we all love you" & "I'll do your bidding" (that was a weird one).

They often times are either speaking in the 3rd person or else are speaking for someone who isn't able to communicate.

Several times they've indicated that something they were doing was forbidden or not authorized, and then go on to say that they are going to do it anyway.

It's not unusual to hear them talk about themselves adjusting things for the purpose of bettering the quality of the communication.

They can correctly tell you what you are holding in your hand if you ask them.  This is really interesting and I've been doing some further experimentation with it.  I know they can do this, but how are they able to do it?  Do they see it?  Sometimes they say they see something, but I think they may use the term loosely.  A reasonable possibility is that thought patterns have energy, and since I know what I'm holding, they know it too.  Can they tell me what I'm holding if I myself, do not know?  It seems so, but so far I do not have overwhelming evidence.  It needs more work.

  7. You may have heard of EVP researcher Grant Reed.  He's kind of a character and has a YouTube channel with episodes which chronologically documents his EVP experiments.  More recently, he has been using what he refers to as his Sugar Bowl Method where he uses the sound of water from the tap filling a bowl as the basis of noise for his EVP experiments.

I had been wanting to move away from the use of Gibberish as my sound source for a number of reasons, and was thinking about trying his method.  I thought it would be interesting to ask the spirit personalities about it.  I asked two questions, GR1 "What do you think of Grant Reed's sugar bowl method for creating white noise" and then GR2 "Should I try it?"  Because of Max total size restrictions, I'm only able to upload the responses to the 1st question here.

They had a number of comments which seemed to relate to the questions.  I narrowed down my selections to present here but when considering all of the responses as a whole, it does give the sense that they are answering these two questions.  Well, that is if you can hear what I'm hearing.

There are several examples of voice layering in these clips, and a pretty good one included at the end of the second question.  This session recording was made on 4.23.2022 using Spanish Male Gibberish and from my home.  This is my first time presenting and I am far from mastering the technique.  I invite suggestions.

  8. First, I wanted you to know that I am thrilled to have found this site.  I have gathered some interesting information through EVP which I find that I'm left to contemplate on my own because no one I know has the same depth of interest in the subject.  I did not study the sciences, but I feel that I may be able to contribute to your efforts through sharing my practical experiences.

I started to focus on this work in March of this year, with a brief encounter in 2016.  This is nothing compared to the many years most of you here have dedicated to bettering this form of communication and providing proof to the scientific community.  I've already learned how tedious it can be to review, record and catalog the evidence.  Not to mention the time and effort spent contemplating the results and formulating new approaches.  I find it a mind expanding and multi-faceted subject.

Even though I don't have much "air time" I feel fortunate to have received a good amount of communication, and of the type I believe to be of some degree of interest to this community.  I do have a hunger for wanting to understand how and why things work, and possess an investigative nature.  Though absent in scientific knowledge, I hope to contribute utilizing my areas of strength.

    Gratefully,

    Andrea

  9. My response is based on recordings done in my home.  I set a written intention for my sessions which remains constant.  I also add a specific written intention for the current session.  I then type the questions I intend to ask.  This process seems to draw sprit personalities who have an interest in the session goals, while cutting down on the random comments that are less useful to my research.  Using that format, I am finding the following:

    1. Male/Female responses - Yes, and this is true no matter the source of the noise.  The majority of the responses though, are in male voices.  The voices come with a variety of aspects of personality, accent & cadence.

Multiple responses - I almost always hear multiple responses.  Also, I commonly hear a second response at the same time, in what I refer to as an undertone.

    2.  This learning experience happened only one time that I can remember.  It was when I asked them to repeat an uncommon last name.  They stretched out the syllables, and then once they figured it out, they really got it!  They repeated it over and over throughout the session.

During any single session, I typically hear different levels of clarity, from mumbles to Class A's.  Based on my experiences, it is my belief that these are different spirits and that some are better attuned to communicating this way than others.

    3. Yes

    4.  I've only worked on this at home.  It seems best for my research.

    5.  I haven't noticed one time of day to be more active than another.

    6.  They have referred to something that will happen but I have heard only one prediction that seems to have played out, and within a few days.  In general, they don't seem to be "all knowing" but a few times they have indicated that they have the ability to get information from what is written (on their side).

    7.  Yes, often.

    8.  Many.  They almost always speak when I'm asking a question.  They speak throughout the session but it makes me crazy when some of their responses are mixed in with my voice.  My ear can usually separate my voice from theirs, but it's unusable as evidence.  There are several more patterns that I'd like to bring up in a separate post.

RT, thank you for this post.  It is very interesting.  It got me off my butt and turned me from lurker into a poster.
