Hello everyone! We believe in a community helping shape the community they desire. And YOU can help!

For those of you who are early birds and here before our public release, we ask for your assistance.

THIS POST: RULES

What a boring topic, right? But...absolutely necessary!

We scraped together a few rules for the forum; however, we know very well it is quite insufficient. In fact, some of it is quite comical. Therefore, we are asking you to let us know what kind of rules should be in this forum. Some of you are moderators on Facebook - you'll know what we are talking about and we are certain you have something to contribute from your past experiences!

Here is a rough draft (that you have already seen when you signed up for the forum):

HOUSE RULES:

1. PLAY NICE
    Be kind, treat others as you wish to be treated. Respect the opinions of others. If you're involved in a continuing argument you're usually part of the problem. It takes two to tango.

2. NO POLITICS
    We already have Facebook...and the news media for that

2. NO SEXTING
    While we think is a great and necessary activity, it is not the purpose of this forum. Or any chat functionality within the forum.

4. HATERS BEWARE
    A repeat of Rule 1. Discussion is good. Drama is bad. There's a fine line between the two.

5. NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL
    We observe copyright laws. Fair Use may be invoked properly where applicable.

5. NO SOLICITATION FOR GOODS OR SERVICES OUTSIDE PROVIDED AREAS
    After all, why should you use our platform to benefit personally while we pay to keep the lights on?

***We treat everyone equally. Royalty or not - if you cause drama you'll get "The Boot" (and we don't mean a glass full of beer!)

We hope that your experience on this forum is a pleasant and life-changing experience.

I like the sense of humor integrated with Rules. I am hoping the seriousness of your endeavors to create a space where anyone can share their experiences will invite those who participate to treat it with and maturity. Here are a couple of suggestions:

1.       Respect everyone here as you would want to be respected. Your viewpoint is as valid and valued as anyone else’s. Everyone has the right to air their thoughts, as long as it is relayed in a respectful manner, with the intent of offering your own unique perspective for the benefit of others.

2.       We are creating, you and I, as a whole, a new experience and space for a subject that is not generally accepted as the norm. You are here because you have an interest in understanding paranormal communication or unusual aspects of conscious living, and perhaps of life after this life. Please treat this site with care, as you are invited to become part of it. It is all of us together, united, who will build it together. Egoistic, rude, and derogatory behavior has no place here.

3.       If you feel drawn to contact another member of the Varanormal Group to share insight on behalf of that individual, you may do so. However, personal contact does not allow for unasked for solicitations, persuasions, or advertising, or innapropriate communication. We respect the privacy of our members, and any transgressions of this rule will be met with swift and immediate removal from the Varanormal site.

4.       Bear in mind that the administrators of this site and contributors of knowledge have offered years of effort of their personal lives for the advancement of communications with those in the afterlife, or otherworld. It is an incredible honor for us to support this sight with positive and constructive information. Thank you for being part of this effort; you are welcome to join us.
